Here is a picture of me and my BELOVED Chike Protein Mix. As some of you may know I had Lap Band (weight loss) surgery a little over 2 years ago. I've since lost 62 lbs and kept it off. I've only gained once but I hadn't had a fill in a long time and gradually started eating more than I was supposed to.

See ever since I went home this past Christmas break to my parents house, I stopped drinking Chicken Express Sweet Tea, and I also started eating slightly better. Not saying I eat perfectly healthy, as you can tell by some of my posts, but I am making small steps to eat better. Like cheddar cheese made w/ 2% milk instead of just regular old cheddar cheese. I'm also using I Can't Believe It's Not Butter instead of the real stuff. Little changes like that.

So over the break I went to visit my doctor(lap band doctor that is) and I admitted I'd been having trouble eating except for late afternoon and into the evening. Basically my band refused to eat before 3:30 PM. If I did try to eat before 3:30 PM, normally I would "make a comeback" aka throw up. So the nurse suggested drinking hot tea or coffee as soon as I wake up, then around 10 AM drinking a protein drink of my choice, and then whenever I was hungry, then try and eat real food. So that's basically what I've done, and since doing this, I've gone from 242 lbs, to 235 lbs. A small change, but it's obviously an improvement.

My protein of choice is Chike Very Vanilla (http://www.chikenutrition.com/buy-chike.html). My mom bought me the 1.59 lb jug and I went through that in like a month! So this time she sent me the 3 lb jug! This stuff is so good. Mix two scoops of the chike w/ 8 ounces of 2% milk (or soy milk, if you're looking for EVEN MORE protein go w/ soy milk), mix well, and personally after I've mixed my "Milkshake" I like to put it back into the fridge for 10 minutes or so to make it even colder. I'm telling you it seriously tastes like a Vanilla Milkshake! It's so good, you won't even know you're drinking something that's GOOD FOR YOU.

In other news, I have new props to show off!

I know it's a really bad picture, but this is my "monster fur" for newborn/baby sessions from www.backdropoutlet.com It's a nice rich brown color.

Here is my baby crown from Hoo Loves You Baby that I found on Etsy for a steal of only $12 + $2.50 for shipping! Check her out at www.facebook.com/hoolovesyoubaby or www.hoolovesyoubaby.etsy.com. Cheap and awesome!

I can't wait to do a newborn session to test out my props. I've yet to do a newborn session, but w/ these props and a e-book my mom bought me for posing children, I think I would rock it!
